Made in a time of laxer airport security and less suspicion surrounding cameras, John Schabel’s Passengers depicts anonymous travelers shot through airplane windows before take-off. Using a long lens and photographing from the end of the runway, Schnabel captures the subjects lost in thought. The photos are published with almost no text, underscoring the isolation of the passengers.
