In Fear of Disappearance, Ustymenko uses black-and-white and color photography to explore notions of identity and self-identity in relation to the architectural landscape. The book represents the photographer’s search for permanence in an environment marked by continuous change and redevelopment. The project includes a special edition of the book as well as a sculpture.
